Chapter 07

Settings

Look and behaviour

  • Language — the app currently offers Czech and English, both fully functional; German and Spanish are listed but shown as “Not available yet”.
  • Theme — Dark or Light.
  • Compact view — offered separately for Kits and for Paints, so you can condense each list independently of the other.
  • Default view on start — the app remembers whether to open straight into Kits, Paints, or Shopping.
  • Preferred status when adding a kit — the app can create a new kit either straight as In Stock, or as Want to Buy, based on what you pick here.
  • Preferred currency (CZK/EUR/USD) — the app adds it to prices from your notes in Shopping on a computer (“1199” shows as “1199 Kč”).
  • Filters — you can permanently hide finished kits and the Scrapyard from the Kits list. By default Finished is shown and the Scrapyard is hidden.
  • Preferred paint brands for conversion — the app gives these a slight edge when looking for FS/RAL/RLM equivalents (you can pick more than one brand).

Data

  • Export data — download your whole collection as a JSON backup.
  • Import data — restore or extend your collection from a JSON file, with feedback on whether the import succeeded. Items with a matching ID are overwritten, the rest are added. Imports count towards the same limits as adding by hand — if a backup would exceed them, the app applies nothing at all and tells you what is over and by how much (better nothing than half a backup).
  • Reset to defaults — resets all the options above back to their defaults.

Account

Shows whether you’re signed in (name/email), or using the app as Guest/Offline — from here you can also link a permanent account or sign out (see the sign-in chapter).

Subscription shows whether you have KitHub Premium, how it’s paid, and until when it’s valid; the Manage subscription link leads to cancelling, changing your card, and invoices. Without a subscription, there’s an offer to start one.

Delete account and all data deletes the account along with your whole collection, photos, and attachments — it can’t be undone, so download a backup in the Data section first. You confirm by typing a word and signing in again. If you have a subscription that renews automatically, the app first sends you to cancel the renewal.

Other

  • News and updates — subscribe or unsubscribe an email for app news.
  • Collection overview — opens Statistics.
  • Check for updates — checks whether you’re running an older app version.
  • Force refresh (Hard Reset) — unregisters service workers and hard-restarts the app; the app asks you to confirm first.
  • Copy UID — copies your unique account ID to the clipboard, mainly useful when reporting a problem.
  • Report a bug — briefly describe what happened; the app attaches the last few steps it went through on its own.
  • Privacy — turn consent to anonymous analytics (Microsoft Clarity) on or off; links to the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service are here too.
  • The footer shows the current app version number.
