How to sign in
The first time you open the app, it asks for consent to anonymous analytics (you can change it any time in Settings → About). On the sign-in screen you can switch the language (Czech / English).
The app offers three ways in:
- Google — one click, no password.
- Email — a form with a Sign in/Register toggle; when registering, the app asks you to type your password twice to confirm it. Forgot your password? The app can send you a reset link by email.
- Continue as guest — try the app with no registration at all (see the section below).
Email verification
If you register with email and password (not Google), the app blocks access after registration until you confirm the link sent to your inbox. On that screen you get three options: Check again (the app re-checks whether you’ve confirmed in the meantime), Resend the verification email, or sign out. Signing in with Google is treated as already verified — this screen never applies to you.
Guest mode — what you can and can’t do
A guest can try the full app without registering — here is what the app limits:
- Kits — up to 5 owned, plus 5 more on the wishlist (two separate counters, so a full wishlist never eats into your collection).
- Paints — up to 10 in total (stock and shopping list combined).
- Uploading photos and files — nothing can be uploaded (the app tells you right away if you try).
- Equipment and literature — not available in guest mode. (Chemistry lives in the Paints stock and counts toward the 10-paint limit.)
- Topics — up to 3.
- Custom collections — up to 2 (lower than topics, because each collection holds up to 30 photos).
Whenever you hit one of these limits, the app explains it along with what to do next — registering with email or Google is free and lifts the guest limits. A free account has its own, much more generous caps; the section below says exactly what it holds.
Importing from a file counts towards the same limits as adding by hand — a backup that would exceed them is not applied at all (the app says what is over and by how much) rather than being silently truncated. Exporting is never limited — you can always download your own data, even as a guest.
Free account and subscription
Free registration is not the same as an unlimited app. A free account is sized so you can build and keep a collection normally — not so it stops you after two evenings:
- Kits — 15 in the collection. The wishlist is counted separately and you will practically never reach it (100), because a shopping list should be a tool, not a trap.
- Paints — 20 in stock plus 40 on the shopping list, again two separate counters.
- Equipment — 20 owned and 30 to buy.
- Topics — 10, custom collections — 4.
- Photos — 10 per build, 8 in the final gallery, 10 per custom collection, 5 attachments and 20 per topic. On top of that, 30 uploads per day; that daily cap is a safeguard against bulk uploading rather than a business limit, and an ordinary evening at the bench never meets it.
You can subscribe in Settings → Account, where you also see whether a subscription is currently running and until when. The Manage subscription link there lets you cancel, change your card and download invoices. A cancelled subscription runs until the end of the paid month, and within 14 days of purchase we refund the full amount on request (see the Terms of Service).
A subscription removes the collection counts entirely (kits, paints, equipment, topics, collections), raises photo limits to their full values (40 per build, 20 in the final gallery, 30 per custom collection, 15 attachments, 60 per topic), and exempts you from the daily cap.
When a subscription ends and you hold more than a free account fits, nothing is deleted or hidden. The app simply stops accepting additions and edits above the cap — everything stays visible, browsable, exportable and deletable. As soon as the counts fit under the limit again, adding unlocks.
Linking a guest account to a permanent one
Your guest data stays in the app even if you decide to register later — the app just adds a sign-in method (Google or email) to your existing account; your collection never moves or gets deleted.
One path behaves differently — watch out for it: if, in that same form, instead of registering a new account you sign in to an already existing email account, the app warns you first — that isn’t linking, it’s switching to a completely different account, and whatever you collected as a guest is left behind under the old guest account.
Signing out
Signing out of a regular account just logs you out — your data stays untouched in the app. Signing out of a guest account is different — the app permanently deletes all of the guest’s data and the account itself, and it always asks you to confirm first.
A registered account can also be deleted completely, including all its data — in Settings → Account (see the Settings chapter).
